The beginning of MI-NUS

The beginning of MI-NUS

Change starts with action.

In the spirit of getting things right from the very beginning, we officially launched the MI-NUS project on April 22, 2024, during the Green Week activities at Secondary School No. 97. It was an incredible start. We brought together 60 environmentally conscious students for a pretty remarkable experience: getting to see a robotic dog used in modern agriculture. Marcel Ionescu from Agricloud joined us to introduce this state-of-the-art technology, giving us the chance to interact directly with some truly cutting-edge equipment.

Vision for the future

We followed up the first part of our kick-off with a visit to Vectr Farms, where Arnaud Charmetant gave us a very warm welcome. He shared valuable technical insights into the agricultural practices we had first heard about during our April 22 session. Being at the farm gave us a much deeper understanding of how complex agriculture really is and what a farmer’s daily work actually looks like. We got an up-close look at the machinery, including tractors and combine harvesters, and even toured a storage facility filled with that year’s harvest.

Overall, the experience was an inspiring and educational introduction to everything we’re working toward: sustainable agriculture, technological innovation, and our shared environmental responsibility.
